London police reported that a demonstrator climbed onto the roof of the Iranian Embassy in the British capital and pulled down the official flag of the Islamic Republic, before security forces arrested him along with others.

Authorities said the suspect attempted to escape across nearby balconies but was stopped after a short chase and charged with property damage, breaking into a diplomatic facility, and assaulting police officers.

The incident follows heightened security measures around the embassy after a similar event last week, in which the official flag was replaced with the one adopted before the 1979 Revolution.
