EU leaders will hold an extraordinary summit in Brussels on Thursday to discuss U.S. President Donald Trump’s threats to impose tariffs on EU countries, as well as issues related to Greenland.
A European Council spokesperson said the summit will focus on transatlantic relations amid rising European concerns.
Diplomatic sources indicated that EU nations are preparing countermeasures, including potentially reactivating tariffs on U.S. imports worth up to €93 billion if Trump carries out his threats in early February.
