French President Emmanuel Macron announced that Lebanon has expressed readiness to enter direct talks with the Israeli Occupation, adding that France is prepared to host the negotiations.

Macron stated that he had held talks with senior Lebanese officials to discuss ways to alleviate tensions.

Beirut is currently working to form a negotiating delegation representing various political factions, while stressing the need to reach a ceasefire and implement United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 before launching any talks.
