Iranian media reported on Tuesday that the number of bridges targeted in U.S.-Israeli strikes has risen to four, following an attack on a railway bridge in Rey county, south of Tehran.
According to the semi-official Mehr News Agency, the strike targeted a railway bridge in the Qaleh Now area as part of a broader campaign against Iran’s transportation infrastructure.
Iranian state television had earlier reported a strike on a bridge near the city of Qom, while officials in Isfahan province said three people were killed in an attack on a railway bridge in the historic city of Kashan.
Additional reports, citing Zanjan province authorities, indicated that a railway bridge in the Aminabad area between Zanjan and Mianeh was also targeted.
Meanwhile, Israeli army radio said around 10 bridges and railway lines across Iran had been struck, stating the objective was to “undermine Iran’s ability to transport weapons and damage its economy.”
