Egyptian star Mohamed Salah will miss the remainder of the season with Liverpool after suffering a hamstring injury during the win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Salah left the pitch in the 60th minute to applause from fans, in what could be his final appearance for the club.

Egypt national team director Ibrahim Hassan confirmed the forward has sustained a muscle tear and will need around four weeks to recover.

After nine successful seasons, Salah’s journey with Liverpool is nearing its end, with a farewell speech expected after the final match of the season against Brentford.
