China has warned of consequences after the European Union included Chinese entities in its 20th sanctions package against Russia.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said the move undermines fair competition within the EU and unfairly targets Chinese investors and companies.
The EU recently approved new sanctions aimed at suppliers of technological materials from third countries, including China, over allegations of supporting Russia’s military capabilities.
Beijing added that the restrictions could impact foreign investment, particularly in key sectors such as batteries, electric vehicles, and solar energy.
It also warned that the measures could slow down Europe’s green transition and heighten economic tensions between the two sides.
