Fans of the Belgium national football team are closely following the anticipated return of striker Romelu Lukaku, which is expected to strengthen the team’s chances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, amid recent uncertainty over his fitness.
According to Italy’s Corriere dello Sport, Romelu Lukaku is set to return to Naples on Monday after spending five weeks in Belgium recovering from recurring injuries.
His club, SSC Napoli, reportedly fined the 32-year-old striker for failing to return after the March international break, as he chose to remain in Belgium to continue rehabilitation with his personal physiotherapist.
Belgium hopes Lukaku will regain full fitness in time for the World Cup, given his key role in the national team’s attack.
