FIFA has approved new pre-match protocols for the 2026 World Cup that will see all players listed on the match roster, including substitutes, line up around the center circle before the national anthems are played.

The ceremonies will also feature giant national flags and a dedicated entrance tunnel for players as they enter the field.

The initiative aims to enhance the tournament’s festive atmosphere and improve its visual presentation.
