Former First Lady Jill Biden has shared new details about the health of her husband, Joe Biden, confirming that he has Stage IV prostate cancer that has spread to his bones.

She said the disease is something he will have to live with for the remainder of his life, while treatments are focused on managing the condition and slowing its progression.

Biden revealed his diagnosis in May of last year. His medical team described the cancer as aggressive but hormone-sensitive, meaning it can respond to hormonal therapies.

Speaking during a television interview, Jill Biden said she noticed while they were living in the White House that her husband frequently woke up during the night to use the bathroom, assuming at the time that the presidential medical team was monitoring the issue.

She added that after leaving the White House in 2025 and seeing the symptoms persist, she insisted that he consult a urology specialist. Further examinations, including a CT scan, eventually led to the diagnosis.
