Ousmane Dembélé inspired France to the top of Group I at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a convincing 4-1 victory over Norway in the third round of the group stage.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward scored a first-half hat-trick in the 7th, 20th, and 32nd minutes, while Désiré Doué added France’s fourth goal in stoppage time. Leo Østigård scored Norway’s lone goal.
France finished the group stage with a perfect nine points to qualify for the Round of 32 as group winners, while Norway also advanced as runners-up.
