Algerian citizens living abroad began voting on Saturday to elect members of the People’s National Assembly, with polling set to continue through next Thursday.

More than 869,000 eligible voters abroad will elect 12 lawmakers representing eight geographic regions worldwide.

Authorities established 129 polling centers and 439 polling stations, while 54 electoral lists comprising 432 candidates are competing overseas.
