Cairo’s Red Line: Egypt Rejects Netanyahu’s Rafah Displacement Talk

In a decisive reaction, Egypt strongly condemned statements by Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the possibility of displacing Palestinians from Gaza via the Rafah crossing.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry affirmed in a stern statement that “the Rafah crossing will never be a gateway to liquidate the Palestinian cause,” describing the matter as a “red line.”

Cairo considered these statements an attempt by Netanyahu to export his internal crises and entrench chaos in the region.

Egypt reiterated its demand for an immediate ceasefire, the withdrawal of occupation forces from the Strip, and the return of the legitimate Palestinian Authority to manage the crossings in accordance with international agreements.
