Chelsea returned to winning ways with a 2–0 home victory over Manchester United on Saturday in the ninth round of the Premier League.

After a goalless first half, Morgan Rogers reportedly opened the scoring in the 50th minute. United defender Lisandro Martínez was sent off in the 62nd minute, before Cole Palmer doubled Chelsea’s lead from the penalty spot a minute later.

The result lifted Chelsea to fourth place with 16 points. Manchester United remained 16th with seven points after suffering their fourth league defeat of the season.
