England manager Thomas Tuchel sparked widespread debate after leaving Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, and Trent Alexander-Arnold out of the squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Defender Harry Maguire was also omitted despite his extensive international experience, describing the decision as “shocking and disappointing.”
Tuchel called up Al Ahli striker Ivan Toney following his impressive performances in the Saudi Pro League, alongside Ollie Watkins, while John Stones retained his place despite recurring injury concerns.
The squad also includes Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka, and Marcus Rashford.
