Spanish firefighters continue efforts to contain a major wildfire near Almería that has killed 11 people and injured six others, forcing around 1,000 residents to evacuate their homes.
More than 150 firefighting teams, supported by the Military Emergency Unit, are taking part in the operation. Preliminary investigations indicate that a fallen power line may have triggered the blaze.
The disaster comes amid an intense heatwave that has significantly increased wildfire risks across Spain.
