Israeli forces raided the towns of Dura and Beit Fajjar in the southern West Bank, leading to confrontations with Palestinian youths and assaults on residents during crowded pre-Eid al-Adha shopping periods.

Witnesses said Israeli troops fired tear gas canisters and forced shop owners to close their businesses, while several young men were detained and blindfolded during field interrogations and abuse.

The raids come amid escalating military and settler attacks across the West Bank since the outbreak of the war on Gaza in October 2023.
