Meta’s platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, experienced a widespread outage that disrupted services for millions of users around the world.

Data from the outage-tracking website Downdetector showed a sharp increase in reports related to login issues, page-loading failures, and messaging disruptions.

The problems affected both mobile applications and desktop versions, particularly WhatsApp. Meta did not immediately explain the outage or provide a timeline for full service restoration.
