Moroccan authorities said on Sunday that the death toll from floods in the coastal province of Safi, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, has risen to 21.
Authorities said 32 people were injured, most of whom have since been discharged from hospital after receiving medical treatment, while several others remain under medical observation.
Officials added that emergency services remain fully mobilised to search for possible missing persons, secure affected areas and provide assistance to residents impacted by the exceptional conditions.
