Pakistan’s military media wing warned Sunday that any attempt to target Pakistan could lead to consequences “not confined to a specific geographical area,” adding that such actions would be strategically and politically unacceptable for India.
The statement came in response to recent remarks by Indian Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi, who said that “Pakistan must decide whether it wants to remain part of geography and history.”
In its response, the Pakistani military said Pakistan is “a globally significant state, a recognized nuclear power, and an inseparable part of South Asia’s geography and history.”
The statement added that the Indian remarks reflected an inability to accept Pakistan’s existence even after eight decades, describing the rhetoric as rooted in a “delusional belief system.”
It further said that threatening a sovereign nuclear state with being erased from “geography” was not strategic signaling or brinkmanship, but rather a reflection of “cognitive bankruptcy, madness, and a tendency toward war.”
