U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that American diplomatic efforts to secure an agreement with Iran have entered their final stages.
Speaking after attending an NBA Finals game in New York, Trump stated that negotiators were in the “final stages” of reaching what he described as a “very good agreement.”
Asked about the timeline, he said a deal could be completed within “two or three days.”
His remarks came one day after Iran and Israel halted their latest round of military escalation, following their first direct exchange of strikes since the April 2026 ceasefire.
Washington is continuing diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing a broader regional conflict that could undermine the ongoing negotiations with Tehran.
