The U.S. military announced it had disabled two additional Iranian-flagged oil tankers attempting to breach the naval blockade imposed on Iran, according to a statement by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).

The statement said American aircraft targeted the tankers’ smokestacks with precision munitions, disabling the vessels and preventing them from reaching Iranian shores.

At the same time, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Washington was awaiting Tehran’s response to proposals aimed at ending the conflict, while Iranian media reported sporadic clashes in the Strait of Hormuz despite the declared ceasefire.
