Zelensky Urges Belarus to Dismantle Sites Allegedly Supporting Russian Drone Operations

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged Belarusian authorities to dismantle facilities that he claims are being used to support Russian drone attacks against Ukraine.

The appeal marks the second consecutive day that Kyiv has called on Belarus to take action against infrastructure allegedly assisting Russian military operations.

Belarus, led by President Alexander Lukashenko, remains one of Moscow’s closest allies and allowed Russian forces to use its territory during the launch of the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

Although Lukashenko has repeatedly stated that he does not want Belarus to become more directly involved in the conflict, Zelensky said Minsk should demonstrate that it is not providing direct support to Russia’s war effort.

The Ukrainian president said Kyiv is aware of four facilities in Belarus that allegedly support Russian military activities, but he did not provide further details.
