The Pakistani Army announced the killing of 22 militants in a security operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, based on intelligence regarding the activity of armed groups it said were “supported by India.”
The operation is part of a broader campaign in which the army previously stated it had neutralized 44 militants since November 25.
Militant attacks are concentrated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan near the Afghan border, targeting security forces and civilians under claims of ethnic grievances.
