US Imposes Sanctions on 7 Maduro Family Members

The United States imposed sanctions on Friday against seven individuals, including relatives of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro—such as the family of his nephew’s son Carlos Eric Malpica—and a Panamanian businessman.

The State Department said the Trump administration is determined to dismantle the regime’s support network.

Trump had previously announced a blockade on Venezuelan oil tankers and did not rule out military action, vowing to reject the status quo.
