Iran Announces Navigation Conditions for Ships Passing Through the Strait of Hormuz

Iran’s Gulf Waterway Administration announced a framework governing vessel transit through the Strait of Hormuz during the 60 days following the implementation of the U.S.-Iran understanding.

The authority stated that ships must submit complete voyage and cargo information at least 48 hours before arriving at the strait and comply with officially designated communication channels.

Iran also announced that security, safety, and environmental services will be provided free of charge during this period at government expense, to ensure smooth navigation and strengthen confidence following the implementation of the agreement between Tehran and Washington.
