Afghan authorities announced that at least 61 people have died and more than 110 others were injured due to heavy snowfall and intense rainfall in recent days.

Hundreds of homes have been damaged, and large numbers of livestock have perished. Officials warned that the death toll could rise further as rescue teams struggle to reach remote and isolated areas.
