Yemen’s Ministry of Transport said three Pakistanis and one Indonesian crew member were killed after a commercial vessel was targeted by the Houthis in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, the strategic maritime passage between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

The ministry warned that attacks on commercial vessels threaten the safety of navigation, trade interests, and the movement of supplies.

The authorities did not identify the vessel or its owner. Later, the National Resistance Forces said the Houthis had launched a missile toward an operation to rescue the targeted vessel, without providing further details.
