The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees reported that more than 100,000 people were newly displaced in Lebanon within 24 hours due to the ongoing war.
This brings the total number of displaced people to more than 667,000, according to government statistics.
The agency said around 120,000 displaced people are staying in government-run shelters, while others have been forced to stay with relatives, in their cars, or on sidewalks due to a shortage of accommodation.
