Netanyahu Corruption Trial to Resume After War-Related Suspension

An Israeli court is set to resume hearings in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s corruption trial next Sunday, after sessions were halted due to the war with Iran, according to Channel 12.

Israel’s Home Front Command had banned public gatherings at the start of the war on February 28, leading to the suspension of court proceedings. The hearings will take place at the Tel Aviv District Court.

The resumption comes amid ongoing divisions داخل Israel over Netanyahu’s request for a presidential pardon from President Isaac Herzog.

On November 30, Netanyahu requested a pardon without admitting guilt, while Israeli law stipulates that a pardon can only be granted after a formal admission of wrongdoing.
