FIFA announced on Wednesday the official timeline for squad submissions ahead of the 2026 World Cup, to be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The governing body said May 11 will be the deadline for submitting preliminary squads, which must include between 35 and 55 players, giving teams flexibility to assess options.
Final squad lists must be submitted between May 25 and June 1, with each team allowed to name 23 to 26 players, including three goalkeepers.
FIFA added that changes to final squads will not be permitted under normal circumstances, except in cases of serious injuries, which require certified medical reports and approval from the relevant committee.
