The Israel Defense Forces issued an urgent warning on Sunday to residents of southern Lebanon, urging them to evacuate their homes and move at least 1,000 meters away to open areas, as military operations continue against Hezbollah.
In a post on the X platform, the Israeli army said the operations were in response to what it described as violations of a ceasefire agreement, warning that anyone near Hezbollah fighters or facilities could be at risk.
In an earlier statement, the military said it had carried out strikes on “multiple targets” linked to Hezbollah, claiming the destruction of around 70 buildings used for military purposes and approximately 50 infrastructure sites over the past 24 hours.
The escalation follows a particularly intense day marked by more than 90 airstrikes across southern Lebanon, resulting in 16 fatalities and multiple injuries, according to Lebanese authorities. The strikes reportedly hit over 50 towns, alongside artillery shelling targeting surrounding areas.
