A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck northeastern Afghanistan on Saturday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

The epicenter was located 43 kilometers south of Jurm at a depth of 208.3 kilometers.

No official reports of casualties or material damage have been issued so far.
