Fourteen Saudi nationals were killed on Sunday after an Aramco-operated helicopter crashed in the Ras Tanura area in eastern Saudi Arabia.

The Ministry of Energy said the helicopter went down at 6:00 a.m., killing everyone on board.

Authorities confirmed that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the crash, adding that there is no evidence suggesting the helicopter was targeted in a hostile act despite heightened regional tensions in the Gulf.
