Lebanon’s Military Court approved the release of singer Fadl Shaker on Wednesday in several cases before the court in exchange for bail, while also imposing a travel ban.

The decision followed a deterioration in Shaker’s health that required his transfer to a military hospital, preventing him from attending his trial.

Military judge Brigadier General Wassim Fayyad continues to oversee proceedings related to the 2013 Abra events, including hearing witness testimony.
