Sudanese authorities said Tuesday that the army had repelled an attack launched by the Rapid Support Forces and their allied Sudan People’s Liberation Movement against the town of Qeisan in the Blue Nile state, which borders Ethiopia.

The Qeisan administration said the attack took place during the agricultural season and accused the attackers of targeting farmers, describing the incident as a “full-fledged war crime.”

It said the armed forces and allied forces continued fighting on several fronts around the town. The Rapid Support Forces did not immediately comment on the allegations.
