Tehran: Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Iran Agree to Continue Regional Security Consultations

Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Iran agreed to continue consultations to strengthen cooperation on regional peace and security, according to the final statement of a quadrilateral meeting held in Tehran on Monday.

The discussions addressed regional developments, Israeli activities in the region, and the situations in Palestine and Lebanon.

Participants included Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Turkish intelligence chief İbrahim Kalın, Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman and Pakistani military chief Asim Munir.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry said the meeting could mark the beginning of efforts to establish a regional security framework developed by countries within the region itself.

The final statement reaffirmed the four countries’ commitment to maintaining consultations and strengthening cooperation in support of regional peace and stability.
