FIFA has set June 2, 2026, as the final deadline for submitting the official squads of teams participating in the upcoming World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The governing body confirmed that teams will continue to be allowed 26-player squads, as was the case during the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Preliminary lists will include between 35 and 55 players, with final squads to be confirmed nine days before the tournament begins.
FIFA also approved the replacement of injured players up to 24 hours before each team’s opening match.
