Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority reported that flash floods caused by climate change have killed at least 337 people in the country’s northwest, with dozens still missing.

Rescue operations continued Sunday in the remote village of Choseti in Kishtwar, where 60 people died and around 150 were injured, 50 critically.

Residents criticized authorities for failing to issue prior flood warnings despite heavy rainfall and cloudbursts.
