Four people sustained minor injuries on Tuesday after a cable car cabin collided with the arrival station in the town of Macugnaga in the Italian Alps.
Firefighters said the cabin reached the station at a higher-than-usual speed without the required deceleration, leading to the accident.
The collision disrupted cable car services and prompted the aerial evacuation of dozens of stranded passengers, while authorities launched an investigation to determine the cause and ensure the safety of tourist facilities in the area.
