The 36th NATO Summit officially opened in Ankara on Tuesday with the participation of alliance leaders and senior officials.

Events began with the alliance’s largest-ever Defense Industry Forum, focusing on strengthening defense production and expanding transatlantic investment.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also hosted a dinner for participating leaders, while the summit’s main session is scheduled for Wednesday to discuss European security, the war in Ukraine, and strengthening NATO’s defense capabilities.
