Russia and Ukraine announced a prisoner exchange involving 160 captives from each side, marking the latest swap since the war began more than four years ago.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the return of Ukrainian soldiers held since 2022, while Moscow said the released Russian servicemen had been transferred to Belarus for medical treatment.

The United Arab Emirates continues to play a key mediating role in facilitating prisoner exchanges between the two sides.
