Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces had captured the towns of Kuzminovka in Donetsk and Otradnoye in Kharkiv after what it described as “decisive battles.”

The ministry claimed Ukrainian forces lost over 290 soldiers and several armored vehicles and artillery systems.

The advance comes amid renewed escalation in eastern Ukraine, where both sides have been exchanging artillery and air strikes for weeks.
