the Swiss government announced on Thursday that the mountain resort of Bürgenstock is scheduled to host preliminary talks between the United States and Iran on Friday as part of efforts to discuss the implementation of the recently announced ceasefire agreement.
According to Swiss authorities, the meeting is expected to bring together representatives from Washington and Tehran, alongside mediators Pakistan and Qatar, as well as other interested parties.
The discussions are expected to focus on practical mechanisms for implementing the agreement, monitoring compliance, and coordinating next steps among the participating parties.
The meeting comes following the announcement of a ceasefire arrangement between the United States and Iran amid broader international efforts to support regional stability and advance diplomatic engagement.
