Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa announced changes to the structure of the country’s security establishment.
The appointments included naming Anas Khattab as head of the National Security Office while allowing him to retain his position as interior minister, and appointing Abdul Qader Al-Tahhan as chief of the General Intelligence Directorate.
The changes are intended to strengthen coordination among security agencies and improve the management of intelligence and security affairs in the country.
