The United Arab Emirates on Friday firmly denied media reports claiming that funds had been transferred from the UAE to Iran, including allegations involving a sum of $3 billion.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the claims were “false and not based on any reliable facts or information,” rejecting reports suggesting that frozen Iranian assets had been released or transferred through the UAE.

The ministry stressed that no frozen Iranian funds have been released, transferred, or moved via the UAE and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to international regulations governing financial transactions and banking operations.

The denial follows media reports alleging financial movements involving frozen Iranian assets, claims that Abu Dhabi has categorically rejected.
