Chinese state media reported on Friday that 10 people were killed and 33 others were missing due to sudden floods that struck Gansu Province in northwestern China, following heavy rainfall that has persisted since August 7.

CCTV reported that Chinese President Xi Jinping ordered comprehensive rescue operations to search for the missing.
