Police in Oklahoma reported that at least 10 people were taken to hospitals following a shooting at a gathering near Arcadia Lake, close to Oklahoma City.

According to Associated Press, Emily Ward, a spokesperson for Edmond Police, said authorities received multiple reports of gunfire around 9 p.m. in the area near the lake, located in the suburb of Edmond.

She added that in addition to the 10 individuals transported to hospitals, others may have sought medical care on their own, noting that the victims sustained injuries of varying severity.

Arcadia Lake is located about 13 miles north of Oklahoma City and is a popular destination for picnicking, camping, fishing, and water sports.
