Brazilian Football Confederation president Samir Xaud revealed that the federation plans to officially announce the extension of Italian Carlo Ancelotti’s contract until 2030 before the start of the 2026 World Cup.

He explained that some legal procedures between both parties are still being finalized.

Ancelotti has managed Brazil since last June, amid hopes of returning the “Seleção” to global glory.

The Italian coach is expected to announce Brazil’s final World Cup squad on May 18 in Rio de Janeiro.
