The leaders of Libya’s House of Representatives, High Council of State, and Presidential Council have agreed on a new roadmap calling for simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections to be held no later than February 17, 2027.
The plan also includes completing the constitutional and legal framework for the elections, establishing a high sovereign committee to oversee the process, and taking steps to unify key state and military institutions.
The agreement is part of broader efforts to end Libya’s prolonged transitional period.
