Moscow was hit by a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack described by Russian media as the most extensive in years, triggering fires at facilities in and around the capital, including a major oil refinery.

The attack also led to the evacuation of passengers from one of the city’s airports.

The strikes coincided with Russia’s summit with ASEAN leaders in Kazan, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the operation as a response to Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities.
